First part
What - what was my role in this situation , what was I trying to achieve ,
Role - directing and I was trying to achieve camera
(this applies to research
In my research I was the main researcher meaning that I looked into all of my main inspirations to gather content and characteristic to gather information on how they are produced and broke it down and used there components to influence and improve my own piece.Such as camera I was trying to map out positions o certain cameras and there movement so that I could gather how they were being sterilised. By doing this I was trying to achieve the feeling of other pieces of work and use that to improve the content in my piece. I used the things that I learnt from studying these pieces and applied those to my planning and production. The actions I took entailed me deciding on how to act on this information because I mentally downloaded the information and used it to decide where I was going position the cameras. I did this to achieve the aesthetics and feeling of the other shows to make mine feel authentic.And by the response I have received form others I believe that I have achieved that. The consequences of this were that in my opinion my piece felt way to static and had no movement meaning it became un-engaging which felt disappointing and upsetting to me but fortunately I added graphics in the edit as well as cut away meaning that It was more engaging.There was a lot of good in my research because it had shown me how to use the camera in multi camera as well as it showed me the positioning of the cameras which helped me tremendously.This employs that I have not looked enough into how the cameras where utilised such as how they were used through movement meaning that the visuals are more interesting and engaging.when I acted on this all that was going through my mind was that I had to make my piece more interesting to watch so I decided to act on this by adding graphics. I based these actions on what I was looking at in my research and how they keep there audience engaged. From this my new understanding is that I should use tracking and pan shots more to make my piece more interesting.To make things better all I need to do is to add cut aways as well as using colour grading to make my piece more interesting and appropriate for its purpose.All I have to do is make sure that my piece is more appropriate and has the same feeling and tone as a professionally made program.
